When I finished one of the training sessions, I was surprised because still inside the stadium was a grandfather holding hands with his grandchild wishing to say hi to me and offer me beautiful necklace and a handkerchief. In India this is a traditional way to show respect and admiration for someone.
Also during my stay in Bengaluru I was invited for a lunch at my technical secretary’s home (Velu). At the entrance of his residence I was offered another necklace.
This simple gestures of humble people, are a way of recognition that touched my heart.
